What is Rum Runners?
Rum Runners is a Fixed base operator or FBO for short, essentially an aviation truckstop with some extra services.
We currently offer various types of rum for sale, as well as our aviation services such as flight training, charter services, maintenance, & selling of used aircraft. We also plan to assemble newly ordered aircraft.
Why Rum Runners?
Rum Runners was started as a traveling rum merchant near the beginning of 2022. We never really had many customers during that period of time & were running at a massive loss, so we slowed operations a bit when the borders to Cayo Perico were opened to try some other avenues to balance our books. During that time Xavier Faraday was flying for FlyUS & realized that most people who had a pilots license didn't use the radio to ensure air safety so when the travel season was over he invested in his own plane & started offering flight lessons to assist people interested in flying to get proper training & make it more affordable. We chose to keep the name Rum Runners as it allowed us to keep the brand recognition we've built & it's what laid the foundation for what we are now.
